Our Story:
Why We Do What We Do
A small leak under our kitchen sink changed everything. What started as a broken water filter led to an insurance claim, a quick repair, and even a family vacation while the work was done. We thought the problem was solved.
But the remediation company we trusted did not clean or contain the affected areas properly. Not long after moving back in, my wife became severely ill. After countless tests, we discovered that hidden moisture behind the walls had continued to feed dangerous mold growth. Mold spores had been left behind, and our home and health were compromised because the remediation was not done the right way.
That experience was devastating, but it also reshaped our path. I decided no one in our community should have to go through something like that without the right support.

Building a Better Standard
Since then, my team and I have trained extensively and earned full IICRC firm certification in water damage restoration and mold remediation, the gold standard in our industry. This means families can trust that our remediation process is thorough, safe, and backed by proven best practices.
What We Do Today
We do not just fix buildings. We protect families.
We provide safe containment to keep living spaces protected. We carry out remediation that fully addresses mold and water damage at the source. And we rebuild with care, restoring homes with health and safety as the highest priority.
While we do not perform formal inspections, we can help identify potential mold concerns and guide you toward the right next steps with trusted professionals.

Why It Matters
For families, especially those with children, elderly loved ones, or anyone who is medically sensitive, the difference between a quick patch job and true remediation can be life changing.
If you or someone you know is facing water damage, fire damage, or unexplained health issues possibly tied to mold, we are here to share what we have learned and help however we can.
A Few Things You Might Not Know About Us
We believe every home - and every project - has a story. Ours started with one family’s experience of rebuilding from the ground up, and it continues today through the work we do for others. Along the way, we’ve gathered some pretty special milestones and memories:
Fun Facts:
Built From the Ground Up.
Built from the ground up. Frank got his start in construction at just 10 years old, apprenticing for a local carpenter — learning the value of craftsmanship and hard work early on.
From Tech Campuses to Family Homes.
Before launching Mier & Murphy, Frank contributed to the original construction of Apple’s iconic “spaceship” campus — a project that shaped his attention to precision and design.
Certified for Peace of Mind.
We’re fully IICRC-certified, meaning we follow the same gold standards in mold and water remediation as major restoration firms — but with the personal care only a family business can offer.
Community-built, Through and Through.
We’ve helped local entrepreneurs bring their dreams to life — from turning a garage into a soap kitchen to transforming an old storefront into a taco shop or renovating a neighborhood cell phone repair store.
Restoring What Matters Most.
Our team has rebuilt homes after mudslides, revived kitchens after water damage, and converted unused garages into stylish, functional ADUs.
Health-First, Always.
We choose non-toxic, eco-conscious products in every remediation because your family’s long-term health and safety are at the heart of what we do.
